4th Sunday of Easter

by Fr. Don Kline, V.F.  |  04/26/2026  |  Letter from the Pastor

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

I know I am getting ahead of myself but I just can't help it. It is exciting news. On Saturday, May 16, our Dean, Fr. Jess Ty V.F. will visit us to confer the sacrament of Confirmation on young people from our school and our family catechesis program. This is a significant event as these young people will be sealed with the strength of the Holy Spirit as well as receive Our Lord in Holy Communion for the first time. I invite you to participate in the Holy Mass that will be celebrated at 10:00am.

We also look forward to Pentecost on May 24th where most of our Candidates who have been in formation for the past year or more will receive their sacraments of Confirmation and First Holy Communion. I am especially grateful to the Catechists who were a key part of their formation. I give thanks to God for Shirley Smalley, Director of Sacramental Preparation and Infant Baptism and Patrick Klein, Director of Family Catechesis & Evangelization. The time and effort they offer to help in the preparation and formation of those who are called to full communion in the Catholic Church is invaluable and a blessing.

I also want to thank the teachers from our grade school who do an amazing job of forming our young people. The time and effort it takes to walk with our children as they fall in love with Jesus is worth every sacrifice. We are blessed to have Kim Klein, the Director of Youth Development, Amanda Cramer, the Coordinator of High School Youth, Ashley Kaschl, the Young Adult Coordinator, and Tamara Rose, the Assistant to Family Catechesis as part of our team leading our youth and young adults closer to Christ. Their hard work, dedication and faithfulness brings Christ to others and others to Christ. Lastly, I give thanks to God for our volunteers. Their dedication and sacrifice inspire us all to be better stewards with the gifts that God has given us. God bless you for all your efforts.

Lastly, please keep our 8th graders, the Class of 2026 in your prayers. As they prepare to graduate, they are entering a world filled with many options and opportunities but also obstacles and temptations. Our young people have so much to offer. They bring new enthusiasm and hope. Their joy and zeal need to be encouraged and cherished by us. They need to know they are not replaceable, they are unique, and they are loved by God and by us. Class of 2026, Our Lord walks with you now and always. You are never alone.

God Bless,

Fr. Don Kline
