Welcome to St. Bernadette Parish
Creating a Legacy of Faith For Generations
Welcome to St. Bernadette Roman Catholic Parish.
St. Bernadette is a lively and thriving community. We have grown and continue to grow as a faith community through God’s grace and the generous response of the people of the parish.
The parish was established by Bishop Thomas J. O’Brien in January 1,1995 who appointed Rev. Richard Felt as the founding pastor of the parish. Since its founding, St. Bernadette has grown to almost 1600 families and watched a K-8 grade school arise and grow to just over 600 students today. A once small campus abounding with hopes and dreams has grown beyond its expectations and humble beginnings. We are looking ahead and planning for the continued growth of our parish as we develop expansion plans for the school and begin the design of the church facility.
This vibrant community has been and continues to be a warm, welcoming, and friendly community; a sense of friendship permeates our campus and its programs. The environment here at St. Bernadette reflects our parish mission statement: “We exist as a Eucharistic community to celebrate, proclaim and live the Gospel of Jesus Christ in Word and Sacrament for the Glory of God.”
We continually strive to provide the best education and faith experience according to the Roman Catholic Tradition; our liturgies are faith filled, and we continually encourage one another to constantly strive for holiness. Our perpetual Eucharistic adoration is quickly becoming an integral part of our community.
We also have one of the strongest St. Vincent De Paul and Knights of Columbus programs in the diocese. Our outreach to Mexico includes La Sagrada Familia which provides much needed aid for education for our southern neighbors. We also actively serve the surrounding community including the Mayo Clinic Hospital and approximately 24 nursing homes and other care facilities in our parish boundary; these ministries, along with many more, provide numerous service opportunities for our parish members.
Welcome. Please accept my invitation to join our parish if you have not already done so. I look forward to meeting you and your family-especially through our celebration of the sacraments.
May the Lord bless you and your families, and may we grow in holiness as we seek to spread the Gospel in word and deed.
Peace and Blessings,
Rev. Peter A. Rossa, Pastor St. Bernadette Roman Catholic Parish
