Music Ministry

The music ministry of St. Bernadette provides musical leadership which fosters "full, conscious and active participation" of the Assembly gathered for the Liturgy. Our Music Ministry is a blend of both contemporary and traditional music.

If you are interested in ministering as a choir member, instrumentalist or sound engineer, please contact our Music Director, Jaime Gonzalez. An interview and a simple audition are required for any adult/teen musician or singer who wishes to be involved in the music ministry.

Music ministry opportunities are listed below.

Teen/Adult Groups

Each of our Masses consists of different groups of singers and instrumentalists who participate in small ensembles. The singers are required to attend a weekly rehearsal on Wednesday nights at 6:30pm. This rehearsal only lasts about an hour. Each singer and instrumentalist is also required to be at the Mass they sing at an hour before Mass starts for additional rehearsal and sound check. Our Sunday night Teen Mass group only practices on Sundays from 4:00pm right up until Mass at 5:00pm with a short break before Mass.

Children's Choir

StB_childrenschoirUnder the direction of Jaime Gonzalez, the Saint Bernadette Children's Choir sings at the 10am Mass on the first Sunday of every month.
