Confirmation

Youth Confirmation

Children in the third grade or older, having participated in Religious Education classes the previous year and received First Reconciliation, are invited into the Confirmation / First Eucharist preparation process.  We have returned to the Restored Order for Sacraments of Initiation so Confirmation and First Eucharist will be celebrated at one Mass. There will be a parent meeting (time TBA).

4th & 5th Grade Confirmation

The 4th and 5th graders who wish to be confirmed this year are invited to participate in preparation sessions starting in November. The sessions will be held form 4:30 - 5:30 on the following Mondays:

  • November 3, 2009
  • November 10, 2009
  • November 17, 2009
  • November 24, 2009

The required retreat is scheduled for Saturday, January 10, 20010 from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

If the student has a 3rd grade sibling, he or she may wait until spring Confirmation/Eucharist to celebrate as a family.

All children participating in Confirmation Preparation must have received First Eucharist and be enrolled and participating in age appropriate Religious Education classes or Catholic School. Additional fees of $45.00 for materials and $25.00 for the retreat are required.

Middle School & Teen Confirmation

Any middle school your or high school teen who whishes to prepare for the sacrament of Confirmation may do so through the EDGE or Life Teen programs. Requirements include attendin all scheduled sessions, participating in a a weekend retreat, and completion of 10 community service hours. Confirmation preparation will begin with a parent meeting in January.

Adult Confirmation

Any adult ages 19+ are invited to participate in a special formation series to prepare them to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation.
